Pre-registration is required for all drop-in pickleball at Mid-Sun as of January 6, 2022. These changes are being made to enhance the ease and accessibility of drop-in play for everyone. The resource buttons below will provide you with all the information you need to create an account and register online.
Winter semester drop-in play begins on Wednesday January 12 and ends of Friday March 18. The spring semester will begin in April with more drop-in opportunities.
Wednesday 1:00 pm – 2:45 pm (36 players) pre-registration begins on Thursdays at 7:00 am
Friday 10:15 am – 11:45 am (32 players) pre-registration begins on Saturdays at 7:00 am
Friday 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm (32 players) pre-registration begins on Saturdays at 7:00 am
In accordance with the City of Calgary Bylaw 65M2021, players aged 12+ should be prepared to show their proof of vaccination, medical exemption documents, or proof of recent negative Covid-19 test (rapid or pcr) completed within 72 hours of visiting the Centre. If you choose to show us a proof of vaccination, please have your QR code version ready and a piece of Government ID. If you choose to show us a negative test result, please be prepared to show a new negative test result for each visit along with your Government ID.

Enhance your game in a fun and socially distanced environment with Kevin Doucet and Steve Meyers. 3 courts, a ball machine, balls, and paddles (if needed) are provided. There is a maximum of 12 players in each set of lessons and all lessons are held at the Mid-Sun Community Centre located at 50 Midpark Rise SE and residents with a valid community membership receive a $10 discount . Please join a waiting list if your program choice is currently full.

- These lessons are suitable for players who have complete the Advancing Beginner lessons.
- Techniques, skills, and strategies for both the returning and serving team including third shot drops, third shot drives with control, an overhead smash and returns of overheads.
- Consistency of the short game and how to attack and defend with control.
- Condition games are used towards the end of class time to reinforce your technique changes.
